Could we live vividly, kindly?
Despite the pace and brokenness of the systems around us, could we move and rest in a way that keeps the tissues juicy and pain free as we age?
I think it’s possible.
My work uses the form of Yoga. I want to keep that word; this is my practice - I’ve been at it for thirty years! I study and practice daily. I have the highest quality training I can find, from extraordinary teachers whose work dives more deeply and broadly than the current mainstream in Yoga teaching, but, I’m aware the word "Yoga" may conjure matching lycra, and thin, young bodies forced into contortions?!
I have no interest in “getting it right” in terms of the form, or in what the Culture defines as an ideal body. I’m attempting to support students in discovering and participating in the wild thrill of allowing integrated movement to emerge, rather than directing it from the outside. It’s mindful movement, play, nourishing rest, and the curiosity and humility to listen to the body moving and make that the guide.
I offer one-to-one sessions and “Wee Threes” - tiny group classes - run from my warm and fully equipped Home Studio.
