Qigong
Qi can be thought of as life force or the breath of life
and Gong as working with life force over time.

Qi manifests at all levels of existence in different densities and frequencies, even the boundless realms of the universe are a manifestation of Qi. All Qi arises out of Quintessential Essence, the great unfathomable spirit of existence. Qi therefore has multiple expressions according to the nature of its manifestation, the human expression being one of many. Qi can be called energy but this expression tends to strip Qi of its primary quality “life force” which is intelligence as well as motility.
Life force holds the blue print for all human function, arising moment to moment in present time
in tidal fluctuations of potency.

All this being the case even the air of the planet is Qi and profoundly part of Qigong practise. There are many levels to Qigong practice and endless forms geared to cultivate our relationship with our life force. Refining our awareness and sensitivity from ignorance to extraordinary levels of understanding, appreciation and awe.

Qigong is generally broken into various stages such as Wai Gong {external work}
and Nei Gong {internal work}.

Class times and information

Wai Gong traditionally works through the movement of the limbs triggering the flow of Qi through the meridians, opening the energy gates of the body, the joints; and allowing the Qi to build up and flow back into the body in more abundant levels.
As one works over time the system becomes clear of stagnant energy blockages and resistances. The mind becomes more aware of its habits and behaviour gradually developing a skillful relationship to its own nature.

Nei Gong cultivates the Qi internally in the torso and organ system. Traditionally Nei Gong is developed after Wai Gong because of the depth and power of its influence, it is better practiced when some degree of skill and understanding has been accomplished, and the practitioner has become consciousness of the feeling flow and sensation of Qi. Over time we learn to guide the Qi through the power of our intention, rooted in sensation and building potency internally and externally. The way of Qi Gong can be developed into a formidable health practice and or deepened into a profound spiritual practice regardless of denomination or religious belief.
