Suthesh - Hatha Yoga

Suthesh is from Kerala in India. He is a Naturopath (DNYS), Reiki Master and Yoga Therapist. He has studied yoga for 20 years, starting as a teenager in his local area with Sad Guru Maniyettan Yogasramam in South India for 10 years. Following this he worked and lived in ‘The Art of Living‘ Ashram in Bangalore studying under Sri Sri Ravishankar for 4 years.

Suthesh completed a Diploma in Naturopathy and Yogic Science at the All India Nature Cure Federation, working as a practitioner in local hospitals in Kerala.

He is teaching in Edinburgh for the first time, having worked in Dubai for the last 4 years at a variety of Hotels and Spas across the city.

Suthesh is a highly experienced teacher who gives a very charismatic and engaging class. He has a commanding presence which instills confidence as well as inspiring his students to reach their full potential.

During his class you will be taken on a rhythmical journey of breath and posture, ending with a guided mediation which leaves you deeply relaxed.

He welcomes all levels into his class from absolute beginner to those who practice regularly. Using simple postures, breathing exercises and sound he will guide you through a sequence which provides a full, balanced workout for your mind, body and soul.

Merav Israel - Awareness Through Movement

In Awareness Through Movement lessons we engage in precisely structured movement explorations that involve thinking, sensing, moving, and imagining. The lessons consist of verbally directed movement sequences, which are comfortable and easy and which gradually evolve into movements of greater range and complexity. Through the learning process you will be able to find new ways of moving while increasing sensitivity and improving efficiency.

Merav Israel is a qualified student-teacher of The Feldenkrais Method. She has been studying and teaching movement for 20 years with a strong somatic approach. Her background is in movement studies, dance, improvisation and performance.

These workshops are open to people who have practised yoga asana regularly for at least one full year. The classes are suitable for people of a wide range of abilities. Students or Teachers of any method of yoga are very welcome.

These workshops explore the potential of the breath to become a bridge between body and mind. The class includes creative visualisation,
sound, seed mantra, and Ayurvedic philosophy. The practice of Pranayama will deepen your experience of yoga, still the mind, and increase your vital energy.

Led by Jenny Livingstone who has practised Iyengar Yoga for more than 30 years and first studied with B.K.S. Iyengar in India in 1981. In addition, her practice of Tibetan meditation has deepened her understanding of the benefit of Pranayama.
